Empuriabrava, Spain, September 2013
You are in the tourist zone par excellence. This city is best known for its marina, huge. Many houses were built there but the real estate crisis went through there. Many houses are resold. And like everywhere else in Spain, without a big capital, you can buy houses.
These are not the places I love because I prefer the authenticity of the country. I do not like being in the middle of tourists. I like to discover a place testifying to the past of a country, a city. Empuriabrava is a bit like La Grande-Motte, a new city turned towards tourism and especially money.
During my stay, the Festival Terre de troubadours was held in Castelló d’Empúries.
