Gard, France, July 2007
I travel with you to the South of France, the Gard more precisely. This region is known for the Camargue, Aigues-Morte and the Pont du Gard. A region marked by the Roman presence.
Aigues-Morte, a city formerly on the water’s edge, from which St. Louis embarked for a cruise. A statue of King is enthroned in the main square of the city. This region is also known for its bull races and cow games. Clowns have fun with these beautiful animals and for the bravest, competitions with lots are organized. Why brave? For it is necessary to go down in the arena and face these beasts excited by the crowd.
