Paris under flood, France, February 2018
In February 2018, the Seine is still out of bed. I did not hesitate to take my camera to immortalize this moment. When you go down near the Seine, you feel helpless in the face of this tidal wave. The sound of water against the pillars of the bridges is deafening. Yet, on television, this feeling of power is not completely felt.
Paris remains confronted with these elements and is still waiting for the flood of the century, that which will overwhelm a good part of the city. Passages on the quays have been closed as well as subway lines. The river residents, for good reason, were worried about the rising waters.
