Provence, France, August 2017
For these few days of rest in the south near Salon de Provence, I take you in the footsteps of my childhood. Childhood rocked by the writings Marcel Pagnol, Frédéric Mistral, Alphone Daudet including “The Letters of My Mill” (“Le Curé de Cucugnan” or “Tartarin of Tarascon”), the trilogy of Marcel Pagnol or the writings on Provencal like Marius, César , Mr. Brown the teacher and especially Fanny. Istres, Martigues or Saint-Chamas deserve as much travel as Marseille, even if it is quick to turn around.
You can also go back to the Vaucluse, the Venaissin county, as I did with Pernes Les Fontaines. Then go down again through Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Arles.
I let you choose your excursion and enjoy it.
