Gard, France, September 2009
I take you to the South of France, the Gard more precisely. This region is known for the Camargue, Aigues-Mortes and the Pont du Gard. A region marked by the Roman presence...
Aigues-Mortes, a city once on the edge of the water, from where Saint-Louis embarked on a crusade. A statue of this king sits in the town's main square. This region is also known for its bullfights and cow games. Clowns have fun with these magnificent beasts and for the bravest, competitions with prizes are organised. Why brave? Because you have to descend into the arena and face these beasts excited by the crowd.
