Malapascua, Philippines, January 2017
I have planned a beautiful and great trip for this end of January 2017: Malapascua, one of the 7,100 islands that make up the Philippines...
A small island 2.5km long and 1km wide (1.9mi by 0.11mi). On this island there are no cars, only motorcycles. A peaceful stay for me, except for almost the sound of car horns.
As in Paris, you should never talk about distance for journeys, but rather time. 60km (31mi) are done in 2h30. The roads are not so bad, they are similar to our county roads. Driving is the main problem. The highway code is almost non-existent and you with jeepneys, tricycles, motorcycles, buses, trucks, that's a lot of people coming from right, from left. And you also have to cross the villages with all these pedestrians.
I must say that I fell in love with this country and the people, who are always smiling. So, advice, go for it...
