Cape Finisterre, Spain, June 2019
Cape Finisterre, the last stop for pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela. As my friend Francis told me "Cape Finisterre is generally the last stop for real pilgrims

True because there are a whole bunch of people who only go the way to obtain the "certificate" which may be a plus on their CV (in Spain for example). They don't really make the journey since it's a bus that puts them in strategic places... But once the certificate is in your pocket in Santiago, only the real walkers continue."
I learned that the pilgrimage route can also be done on horseback. Unfortunately I only saw walkers. Some also went to the "Bout du monde", a step into the magnificent sea. Some pilgrims leave offerings. It can be a simple pebble, a piece of wood or a t-shirt or even a coin.
