Musical Walks, Salon, France, June 2025
The municipal conservatory invites you to enjoy enchanting summer evenings. On Place Saint-Michel, the conservatory's professors invite you to share musical interludes.
Personally, I only attended 2 concerts...
• Tuesday, June 24, Eriko Renaud Arima (violin) and Elsa Lautier (double bass) : "Melancholy is a Mode of Resistance", a cello and piano duet featuring works by Brahms, Fauré, Prokofieff, and Casals.
• Wednesday, June 25, Valérie Adjadj (piano) and Sarah Koechly (violin): "After a Dream", a musical poetry event for this final evening featuring works by Massenet, Fauré, Tchaikovsky, and Schumann.
The municipal conservatory of Salon-de-Provence was created in September 1973. An artistic education establishment specialising in the fields of music and dance, it has nearly 500 students supervised by 20 teachers.
Its missions are:
‣ To promote children's awareness of music and dance through instrumental and vocal practice, musical training, and group activities,
‣ To train skilled amateur musicians and dancers and direct students who wish to become future professionals to appropriate institutions,
‣ To establish a dynamic local cultural hub for the city through entertainment and outreach activities (auditions, performances, concerts by teachers and students, school events, the Fête de la Musique, musical walks, etc.)
I can't stop thanking Alain for making me rediscover my city from which I left for 30 years.
Melancholy is a mode of resistance
