Patchwork, until May 2017
Why this page? This page is a collection of humorous videos or photos on the subject of diving. Diving is a de-stress, which is now used in therapy for stressed people.
A lot talks about the risks but there are not as many accidents as that. The accident can happen at any time and to anyone, both beginners and experienced divers. But when you dive, you partly forget this risk and you stay focused on your dive to make the most of it.
Diving is also a story of friendship. People gathered to share the same passion. Bonds are tied gradually and some have become real friends.
Crete (April 2014): My first bubbles but little life in this part of the island. Beautiful landscapes, that's all. The videos have been retouched in automatic levels.
Sardinia (October 2016): Two cave dives in Punta-Asfodeli: Capo Figari and Nero Cave. It's a very weird feeling because the only light comes from our flashlights. By covering it, we are completely disoriented because there are no longer any landmarks and the only sounds come from our breathing and the bubbles rising. The silver stains that appear on the vault above us are water. Claustrophobes abstain...
The Philippines (January 2017): When a diver is underweighted on the Monad Shoal site and that the Dive Master has only weights in his back to give, it is necessary to derig his equipment, this at about 15m (49ft) deep.
Guadeloupe (May 2016): La Raie Torpille delivered to Mazarin. An abandoned net is still a net and fish can be trapped in it. This was the case for this small Torpedo ray. The diver after a few small electric shocks, managed to free her. I love the final little gesture on the head of the torpedo ray.
Guadeloupe (May 2016): The Moray eel at Sec Pate. You are quiet, at 35m (114ft) deep, filming and suddenly you see a beautiful moray eel coming near you, less than 1m (3ft).
Corsica (September 2016): Anchorage in Bastia. When we arrive at the diving area, the anchor is dropped. A diver goes to the anchorage site to secure it. My friend Eric stuck to this exercise.
Fréjus (June 2016): Descent into the Big Blue at Lion de Mer. Some of my friends often ask me what it's like to go down into the big blue. So I made this little video. A descent up to 40m (131ft) but the video stops around 30m (98ft). This video only gives the view but for the sensations, you will have to try for yourself. So do not hesitate, make a baptism, you will be bitten before you realize it.
Note: I'm not a video editing pro, so my motto is "Go simple".
